From UAP Undergraduate to Global Scholar and Back: Celebrating Rashik Rahman’s Inspiring Academic Journey
Rashik Rahman’s journey is a powerful example of what dedication, perseverance, and a passion for research can achieve. Beginning his academic life as an undergraduate student in Computer Science and Engineering at UAP, he quickly developed a deep commitment to learning and research, publishing peer-reviewed work even before completing his degree in December 2021.
Returning to UAP as a lecturer in July 2022, he played an active role in strengthening the department’s research culture—mentoring students, contributing ideas, and helping establish a research lab that supported emerging collaborations and scholarly work.
In December 2023, he took on a demanding new challenge by pursuing an MSc in Computer Science at the University of Calgary. Through intense coursework, high research expectations, and international collaborations, he continued to publish, attend conferences, and expand his academic network. Graduating with an outstanding CGPA of 3.92/4.0, he demonstrated not only academic excellence, but remarkable resilience.
Maintaining close ties with UAP throughout his journey, he rejoined the Department of CSE in July 2025 with broader vision, deeper confidence, and renewed purpose. Today, he continues to inspire students, build new research directions, and motivate future scholars. We proudly appreciate Rashik Rahman for his contributions and for embodying the spirit of growth, research, and commitment at UAP CSE.
